Our home field is at the Sgt. Eric W. Slebodnik Memorial Sports Complex
on Hickory Ridge Road in Greenfield Twp., PA. ( for directions to our
field click here .)

The sports complex was named in honor
of Sgt. Eric W. Slebodnik, a resident of Greenfield Township, who
died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his M2A2 Bradley
Fighting Vehicle was attacked by enemy forces using indirect fire. He
was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry
Regiment, 28th Infantry Division, New Milford, Pennsylvania. Sgt.
Slebodnik died on
September 28, 2005 and
the Sports Complex was dedicated in his name
on September 30, 2006.
As parents and coaches it is
important for us to share with our children the story of Sgt. Slebodnik
so they will know how his sacrifice allows us the freedom to enjoy
playing baseball here in Greenfield Township.
The GTBA honors Sgt. Slebodnik
by working with the Greenfield Township Supervisors
to make lasting
improvements to the sports complex so that children will always have a
place to play in Greenfield Township.
You too can support Sgt.
Slebodnik by making a donation to the
Eric Slebodnik
Memorial Scholarship for History which has been set up in his honor
at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
