The
Greenfield Township Baseball Association relies on
volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured
and runs smoothly. The GTBA is always looking for responsible and
enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate its events and
activities. As a volunteer, you should have a keen interest in the
safety, well-being, and overall development of children. You will discover that the benefits of volunteering are
endless. You will also gain a better understanding of why you should
become involved, who volunteers are, what you can do, and how you
can sign up.
All parents of children
involved in baseball are strongly encouraged to volunteer. As a
parent volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time
with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment. Oftentimes,
parent and child social lives parallel each other. Volunteering
allows your life and your child's life to intersect on common
ground, with shared interests and goals ... not to mention the
continued success of the GTBA depends on its volunteers.
In 2007 our volunteers
raised money through soliciting sign sponsorships, working at
carnival stands, working
the concession stand at games, and they worked hard to make significant improvements to
Sgt. Eric W. Slebodnik Memorial Sports Complex.
Last year alone volunteers
put in over 1000 hours of their time to insure the continued success
of baseball in Greenfield Township.
A youth coach once said:
"Professional coaches measure
success in rings. College coaches measure success in
championships. High school coaches measure success in titles.
Youth coaches measure success in smiles."
If that's the case ... the Greenfield Township
Baseball Association is huge success ! A success because its
volunteers go that extra mile to make sure every child smiles.

their time to make improvements to the Sgt. Eric W. Slebodnik
